Terms & Conditions

Last updated: 15 August 2026 · Applies to liveride.space and the LiveRide mobile app (the “Service”).

⚠ READ THIS FIRST — YOU DRIVE, YOU DECIDE, YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE.
LiveRide is a community platform, not a driving instructor, a race organiser or a road authority. Every decision you make behind the wheel is yours alone. Always obey speed limits, traffic laws and road signs. Never use LiveRide to race on public roads, to compete dangerously, or to break the law.

1.What LiveRide is (and is not)

LiveRide provides a platform. It shows a live map of the community, marks meeting spots and speed points, lets users follow routes made up of GPS checkpoints, and records timing information that users choose to generate by driving.

LiveRide does not:

Routes, meeting spots and other points are created by users and administrators of the community. They are user-generated content. LiveRide does not inspect or approve them and makes no promise that following any of them is safe or lawful.

2.Accepting these terms

By creating an account, signing in, or otherwise using the Service, you confirm that you have read, understood and agreed to these Terms and to the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not create an account and do not use the Service.

You must be old enough to hold a valid driving licence for the vehicle you use, and you must be legally capable of entering into this agreement. If you are not, do not use the Service.

3.Your responsibility while driving

You are solely and fully responsible for your driving, your vehicle, your passengers and your conduct at all times. By using LiveRide you specifically agree that:

Timing does not mean “go faster”. Route times, split times, leaderboards and speed-point records simply record data from drives that users chose to make. They are never an invitation to exceed a speed limit or to drive beyond your ability or the conditions. If following a route would require breaking the law, do not follow it.

4.Location sharing and what other users can see

LiveRide only works as a real-time community if participants can see each other on the map. By registering and using the Service, you consent to your approximate live location being shared with other users of the Service while the app is open.

What other users can see about you:

What other users cannot see about you:

Visitors to the public website who are not logged in see an anonymous live map: only that a driver is currently driving at a position, with no nickname, no score and no identity.

This sharing is the core purpose of the Service. If you do not want your live location shared with other users, close the app or do not use the Service. See the Privacy Policy for full detail and for how to withdraw consent.

5.Your account

6.Content you contribute

Routes, checkpoints, meeting spots, point names, descriptions, nicknames and driving data you submit are “Contributions”. You keep ownership of your Contributions. You grant LiveRide a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, display and share them within the Service so that the Service can function.

You confirm that your Contributions:

We may remove any Contribution at any time, for any reason, without notice.

7.Acceptable use

You must not:

8.Beta software

LiveRide is an early public beta. It is provided free of charge and is incomplete. Expect bugs, downtime, inaccurate GPS, wrong or missing times, and features that change or disappear. Data may be reset or lost. Tracking currently only works while the app is open on screen — on iPhone, locking the phone or switching apps ends the session. Never rely on LiveRide for navigation, safety, emergencies or anything important.

9.Disclaimer and limitation of liability

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including any implied warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, accurate, or that any data, timing, position or map information is correct.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, LiveRide and its operator are not liable for:

You use LiveRide entirely at your own risk and you accept full responsibility for the consequences of your own actions.

Your legal rights. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited by law — for example liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or any mandatory consumer rights you have under the law of your country of residence. Where a limitation above is not permitted by law, it applies only to the maximum extent that the law allows.

10.Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless LiveRide and its operator against any claim, demand, loss, fine or expense (including reasonable legal costs) arising from your use of the Service, your driving, your Contributions, or your breach of these terms or of any law.

11.Suspension and termination

We may suspend or delete any account or Contribution at any time, with or without notice, in particular where we believe the Service is being used dangerously, unlawfully, or in breach of these terms. You may stop using the Service and request deletion of your account at any time — see the Privacy Policy.

12.Changes to the Service and these terms

We may change, suspend or discontinue any part of the Service at any time. We may update these terms; the “Last updated” date above will change. If you continue to use the Service after an update, you accept the updated terms.

13.Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Latvia, and the courts of Latvia have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer resident in another EU country, you keep the protection of the mandatory laws of your country of residence.
