⚠ READ THIS FIRST — YOU DRIVE, YOU DECIDE, YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE.
LiveRide is a community platform, not a driving instructor, a race organiser or a road authority.
Every decision you make behind the wheel is yours alone. Always obey speed limits, traffic laws and
road signs. Never use LiveRide to race on public roads, to compete dangerously, or to break the law.
1.What LiveRide is (and is not)
LiveRide provides a platform. It shows a live map of the community, marks meeting spots
and speed points, lets users follow routes made up of GPS checkpoints, and records timing information
that users choose to generate by driving.
LiveRide does not:
- organise, sponsor, supervise or steward any driving activity, event or competition;
- instruct, encourage or require you to drive at any particular speed;
- verify that any route, checkpoint or speed point is safe, legal or appropriate;
- check that roads are open, that conditions are suitable, or that you or your vehicle are fit to drive.
Routes, meeting spots and other points are created by users and administrators of the community.
They are user-generated content. LiveRide does not inspect or approve them and makes no promise
that following any of them is safe or lawful.
2.Accepting these terms
By creating an account, signing in, or otherwise using the Service, you confirm that you have read,
understood and agreed to these Terms and to the Privacy Policy.
If you do not agree, do not create an account and do not use the Service.
You must be old enough to hold a valid driving licence for the vehicle you use, and you must be
legally capable of entering into this agreement. If you are not, do not use the Service.
3.Your responsibility while driving
You are solely and fully responsible for your driving, your vehicle, your passengers and your
conduct at all times. By using LiveRide you specifically agree that:
- you will obey all speed limits, traffic laws, road signs and local regulations at all times;
- you will not race, street race, time-trial or otherwise compete on public roads;
- you will not drive dangerously, recklessly or in a way that endangers anyone;
- you will not interact with the app while the vehicle is moving in any way that distracts you from
driving — set it up before you set off, and stop safely if you need to use it;
- you will hold a valid licence and insurance, and your vehicle will be roadworthy and legal;
- you will not drive while impaired, over-tired, or otherwise unfit to drive;
- you will adapt to real conditions — weather, traffic, visibility, pedestrians and road users —
regardless of what the app shows;
- you accept that any timing, ranking or leaderboard feature is a record of what you chose to do,
not an instruction, target or encouragement to drive faster.
Timing does not mean “go faster”. Route times, split times, leaderboards and speed-point
records simply record data from drives that users chose to make. They are never an invitation to
exceed a speed limit or to drive beyond your ability or the conditions. If following a route would
require breaking the law, do not follow it.
4.Location sharing and what other users can see
LiveRide only works as a real-time community if participants can see each other on the map.
By registering and using the Service, you consent to your approximate live location being
shared with other users of the Service while the app is open.
What other users can see about you:
- your live position on the map while the app is open;
- your current speed indicator on the map;
- your chosen nickname and vehicle type (car, SUV or bike);
- your times and positions on route leaderboards and speed-point boards, shown under your nickname;
- the number of people currently at a meeting spot (as a count, so being at a spot contributes to a total).
What other users cannot see about you:
- your password;
- your Telegram or Instagram handle, unless you chose to provide it and we display it to your community;
- your location history, past trips or stored GPS track;
- any contact details — we do not ask for your phone number or email address at all.
Visitors to the public website who are not logged in see an anonymous live map: only
that a driver is currently driving at a position, with no nickname, no score and no identity.
This sharing is the core purpose of the Service. If you do not want your live location shared with
other users, close the app or do not use the Service. See the
Privacy Policy for full detail and for how to withdraw consent.
5.Your account
- You are responsible for keeping your password secret and for everything done through your account.
- Choose a nickname that is not offensive, misleading or impersonating another person or brand.
- One person, one account. Do not share accounts or create accounts to evade a suspension.
- Tell us promptly if you believe your account has been used without your permission.
6.Content you contribute
Routes, checkpoints, meeting spots, point names, descriptions, nicknames and driving data you submit
are “Contributions”. You keep ownership of your Contributions. You grant LiveRide a non-exclusive,
worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, display and share them within the Service so that the
Service can function.
You confirm that your Contributions:
- are yours to submit and do not infringe anyone else's rights;
- do not encourage illegal, dangerous or antisocial driving;
- do not place checkpoints or points anywhere it would be unsafe, unlawful or a nuisance to drive,
stop or gather — including private property without permission, pedestrian areas, school zones
or residential streets where gathering would disturb residents.
We may remove any Contribution at any time, for any reason, without notice.
7.Acceptable use
You must not:
- use the Service to organise, promote or take part in illegal street racing or speed contests;
- use the Service to stalk, follow, harass, intimidate or locate any person without their consent;
- use the Service to evade law enforcement, or to warn others for the purpose of evading enforcement;
- falsify GPS data, spoof your location, or manipulate timing or leaderboards;
- scrape, resell, or republish other users' data;
- attempt to break, overload, reverse-engineer or gain unauthorised access to the Service;
- use the Service for any unlawful purpose.
8.Beta software
LiveRide is an early public beta. It is provided free of charge and is incomplete.
Expect bugs, downtime, inaccurate GPS, wrong or missing times, and features that change or disappear.
Data may be reset or lost. Tracking currently only works while the app is open on screen — on iPhone,
locking the phone or switching apps ends the session. Never rely on LiveRide for navigation, safety,
emergencies or anything important.
9.Disclaimer and limitation of liability
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind,
whether express or implied, including any implied warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular
purpose, accuracy or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted,
error-free, accurate, or that any data, timing, position or map information is correct.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, LiveRide and its operator are not liable for:
- any accident, collision, injury, death, or damage to any vehicle or property;
- any fine, penalty, points, licence loss, prosecution or other legal consequence you incur;
- any loss caused by your own driving or by another user's driving or conduct;
- any inaccurate, delayed, missing or misleading location, speed, timing or map data;
- any loss of data, downtime, or interruption of the Service;
- anything you do, or another user does, as a result of information shown in the Service.
You use LiveRide entirely at your own risk and you accept full responsibility for the
consequences of your own actions.
Your legal rights. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded
or limited by law — for example liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for
fraud, or any mandatory consumer rights you have under the law of your country of residence. Where a
limitation above is not permitted by law, it applies only to the maximum extent that the law allows.
10.Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless LiveRide and its operator against any claim, demand, loss,
fine or expense (including reasonable legal costs) arising from your use of the Service, your driving,
your Contributions, or your breach of these terms or of any law.
11.Suspension and termination
We may suspend or delete any account or Contribution at any time, with or without notice, in particular
where we believe the Service is being used dangerously, unlawfully, or in breach of these terms.
You may stop using the Service and request deletion of your account at any time — see the
Privacy Policy.
12.Changes to the Service and these terms
We may change, suspend or discontinue any part of the Service at any time. We may update these terms;
the “Last updated” date above will change. If you continue to use the Service after an update, you
accept the updated terms.
13.Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Latvia, and the courts of Latvia have
jurisdiction. If you are a consumer resident in another EU country, you keep the protection of the
mandatory laws of your country of residence.
